Plerion is updating the Center for Internet Security (CIS) Foundation Benchmark frameworks for AWS, Azure, and GCP Cloud Providers. The updates will change the downloaded benchmark files and detection mappings once released.

CIS periodically releases major and minor upgrades for their Cloud Provider Foundation Benchmarks to accurately reflect best practices. 

As part of Plerion's continued support for CIS Foundations, we will be upgrading the following benchmarks:

• CIS Amazon Web Services Foundations Benchmark: v1.4.0 → v1.5.0
• CIS Azure Foundations Benchmark: v1.4.0 → v1.5.0
• CIS Google Cloud Platform Foundations Benchmark: v1.3.0 → v2.0.0

Plerion will automatically roll out these new versions on the 12th of May, 2023. Customers will not need to do anything to access the latest release. Once the new versions are available on the platform, the previous versions will no longer be available.

Previously, compliance frameworks were only available at the organizational level, making it difficult to assign specific frameworks to a particular tenant.

Plerion has improved the experience by making compliance frameworks available at a Per-Tenant level. Now customers can manage specific frameworks (managed or custom) directly for each tenant, simplifying the coverage and reporting for each tenant.
