Our Vulnerability API is now publicly available, which allows customers to access vulnerability related data directly from the Plerion API.

Previously, customers would have to scrape the Plerion Vulnerabilities Dashboard to obtain their vulnerability data.

Now you can access your vulnerability data from Plerions' available APIs.

Partner SSO is an SSO feature that allows Plerion Partners to authorize their customers to access their Plerion Tenant through the Partners' own SaaS portal, eliminating the need for a separate sign-up process. 

Previously, managing multiple customers for Plerion Partners involved a time-consuming and error-prone process of manually creating new users and configuring their roles. Additionally, users were required to go through a sign-up process, which involved setting a mandatory password and MFA. 

With this new release of Partner SSO, our Partners’ customers can now easily sign in to their associated tenant with ease. Partner SSO utilizes JWT-based authentication for seamless access to the Plerion Platform.

To get started,  refer to the comprehensive guide available in the Plerion Resource Center. Navigate to Platform Documentation > Partner SSO to get started and offer your customers an easy way to access the platform.

Plerions’ Cloud Protection Platform empowers teams to do more with less. We believe that the Partner SSO feature will significantly enhance your platform experience by allowing fast, easy, and secure access to the platform.

SSO configuration now supports mapping first name and last name.

Previously, customers could only use one SAML attribute as the user's display name in Plerion. This catered for cases where the identity provider supports display name or full name attributes.
Now, customers can choose whether to map a display name attribute or both first name and last name to the user's display name in Plerion. 

This allows more flexibility when configuring Plerion SSO for identity providers that do not provide display name or full name attributes out of the box.

Existing SSO configurations will continue to work without any action.

Plerion workload protection now includes coverage for detecting End-of-life (EOL) Operating System support across AWS EC2 Instances and Azure Virtual Machines with Linux Operating Systems.

All Plerion customers now have the ability to identify EOL Operating System Versions for the following Linux Operating Systems:
- Amazon Linux
- CentOS
- CentOS Stream
- Debian
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Ubuntu

A new finding, "Ensure operating system version is not past End-of-Life," is generated for resources with supported OS. The finding's status is displayed as either "Failed" or "Passed," depending on whether the OS Version in use has reached end-of-life. If Plerion is unable to determine the OS version, the status is labeled as "Unknown."

This finding is already enabled by default, and you can now easily set up your workflows to get alerted when Plerion identifies any asset matching this condition.

Enhance your security posture and incident response capabilities with the newly introduced AWS Security Hub Outbound Integration. This integration allows you to seamlessly connect AWS Security Hub to Plerion workflow, ensuring timely and efficient alert notifications.

With this integration, you can receive instant alerts for AWS resources in AWS Security Hub whenever Plerion workflows generate alerts, empowering you to stay informed and respond promptly to critical events.

Note: Alerts sent to AWS Security Hub are only sent to the same AWS account and region to which the alert belongs. 

Please ensure you have accepted the Plerion integration in your target AWS Security Hub account and region to enable the delivery of Plerion alerts.

Plerion now supports reporting Windows OS vulnerabilities related to out-of-date Windows versions or missing security updates and patches.

The vulnerability information contains the Windows version, build number, and a link to the Windows update guide to resolve the vulnerability.

No action is required on your end as this feature is now enabled by default with our workload vulnerability scanning. Windows OS vulnerabilities will be included alongside other vulnerabilities reported for relevant workloads.

Today, we are pleased to announce the general availability release of Plerion's Cloud Detection and Response feature for AWS cloud environments. This new capability allows organizations to continuously monitor their cloud environments for indicators of compromise.

Using this powerful feature, Plerion will automatically detect security events of interest in a cloud environment, alerting users to possible threats and providing them with the information they need to respond quickly and effectively. Plerion's Cloud Detection and Response feature will help keep organizations safe from the ever-evolving threat landscape.

By utilizing this feature, organizations can be more proactive in their security posture, improving their overall protection against potential security incidents. With the ability to continuously monitor cloud environments, organizations can quickly detect any suspicious activity and respond to threats in an efficient and timely manner.

We are thrilled to introduce the ServiceNow outbound integration, which seamlessly connects ServiceNow, a cloud-based platform offering a range of IT service management and business process automation solutions. This integration empowers customers to forward Plerion alerts to ServiceNow using the ServiceNow REST API.

Customers can effortlessly integrate their ServiceNow account to receive alerts as incidents through this integration. Whenever a Plerion alert is generated or updated with new matching criteria, a notification is promptly sent to ServiceNow.

This exciting development empowers customers to elevate their productivity by optimizing their workflow processes. It ensures that customers stay connected and well-informed, enabling them to take proactive measures in response to critical events and facilitate automated issue resolution.

We have provided comprehensive how-to guides in our resource center to assist with implementing the ServiceNow outbound integration.

We've made it easier to work with existing custom reports. 

You no longer need to re-create the widget parameters but can now select to edit existing widgets in your custom report.

How to Edit Widgets:

1. Open the report you want to customize.

2. Find the widget you want to change.

3. Click the ellipsis icon (three dots) within the widget, then select "Edit."

5. Update the widget's title or parameters as needed.

6. Once you're satisfied with the changes, click "Save Report" to save your updated report.
